ITunes + QuickTime is installed on my XP system. Do I have any reason to
keep it? I DO NOT play games and I DO NOT listen to MP3, et. al.

Why do I need either one of them?

Thanks for the help..

Not on mine and they never will be.

If you don't do any of those things, why did you install it in the
first place?

Quicktime is use to view certain Apple format video clips that Windows
doesn't support out of the box.

If you don't use iTunes or Quicktime, get rid of it. If you find you
need it later, re-install it then.

If you have no interest in buying stuff from iTunes, then you don't
need it. Quicktime plays *.mp4 and *.mov video files, which Windows
Media Player will not. If you never meet one of those, you won't need
Quicktime. If you do want to see one some time, you will need it.

I would remove Quicktime and install Videolan for playing all your
video/audio files (if that ever becomes necessary). It's much more
benign than any other of the common players and plays virtually all
common formats.
