Hey guys, we are trying to evaluate linux in our enterprise,
wondering, what parts within the enterprise, is Linux ideally suited
for. Do you think, since Linux is a good replacement for Solaris or
Windows. Which server do you think does the best job supporting Linux

Don't you think it might depend on what your "enterprise" is? Or do
you think a sports car is perfect for every task? - might not be very
useful as a vehicle for delivering water heaters and refrigerators,
but probably better than a 5 ton truck for running the 24 hours at
LeMans. Did you realize that the search engine you are using in place
of a news reader is running on Linux?

Do I think? Certainly - but what are you trying to ask in this
partial sentence? For a similar amount of money, Linux is much better
than Solaris - but which hardware are you using it on, and what
applications are you using? Are they available for your chosen O/S?
Windows is much better at spreading mal-ware, but neither Solaris,
Windows or Linux is good for making light bulbs or growing flowers.

That sentence makes no sense at all. You should also get an
English language dictionary. The word "best" refers to an opinion,
and the best opinion is your own. I like Mercedes Benz, while
others like Pelikan Stout - but neither does a good job supporting
computers, much less an operating system.
