I'm trying to keep the first several rows from re-sizing when I size the rows
below. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks.

You can adjust the height of each row individually by right clicking the row
header (the number on the far left) and selecting Row High.

Or did you mean you want to freeze the top few rows when you scroll the rest
of the worksheet?
Windows | Freeze in pre-2007 versions of Excel and View Freeze in XL2007+
