When running the Configuration Wizard to complete a MOSS 2007 'basic'
installation I get:

Failed to register SharePoint services.

An exception of type System.UnauthorizedAccessException was thrown.
Additional exception information:
Access is denied. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED))

from the MOSS log:
--------------------

Exception: System.UnauthorizedAccessException: Access is denied. (Exception
from HRESULT: 0x80070005 (E_ACCESSDENIED)
at
Microsoft.SharePoint.Search.Administration.MSSITLB.IGatherApplication2.BackupRegistry(Boolean
fBackupNow)

The Application Event Log shows an error:
-------------------------------------------
Event type: Error
Event Source: Windows SharePoint Services 3 Search
Event Category: Gatherer
Event ID: 10029
Description: Error backing up registry hive to the configuratin database.

The Security Event Log:
-----------------------
A couple of "Object Access" (560) errors about this time referencing
WinHttpAutoProxySvc

Any ideas?
