hmmm... I have kompozer 0.7.10 (20070808) running on MDK 10.2 here.
It's been A LONG TIME since I did that install (and I've since moved up
to Ubuntu on a new workstation), but I believe I did have to solve a
dependency problem by hand. I know I installed a number of (newer)
pcLinuxOS RPMs, several Mandriva 2006.0 RPMs, and a few "eslrahc"[1]
RPMs over time on that MDK 10.2 box. I believe it took something like
that to solve the RPM dependency problem with KompoZer 0.7.10.

Kompozer is an O/S replacement for Linspire's Nvu. Using a distro that
old, you may be better getting hold of Nvu. I used it for years,
until it was replaced by Kompozer.

Alternatively, since KompoZer is based on Gecko, you can install it
from source into a folder like Firefox. I did that once when the
release then current had a bug. But early versions of KompoZer weren't
full-featured.

HTH,

Doug.

There was a comprehensive survey of HTML editors in one of the Linux
mags a couple of years ago. I can't find my copy, but it covered
everything from the ancient to the modern, code-only and WYSIWG. It
came down in favour of Kompozer.

While hunting for a link, I came across BlueGriffon,
http://bluegriffon.org/ It is still under development and only nightly
SVN builds are available. It claims to be based on Firefox. It seems
to be WYSIWG only, while Nvu and Kompozer give you access to the code.

I wouldn't recommend trying to run it on any but a current distro. The
Kompozer home page points to some of the problems.

Found the issue - Linux Magazine October 2005, Issue 59. Articles on
style sheets and Flash animations as well.
