Friend has asked this - he gets free calls from his O2 phone to any other
phone on O2. Is this going to include numbers that were once on O2 but
migrated to other networks?

Not for the last 5 years, all mobile networks correctly bill for the network
called

Landlines will still bill it as if on O2

I suspect that this does not apply if the number has migrated back.

Not sure what happens with virtual networks.

Some charge O2 (and usually their virtuals) the least,
making O2 a good choice to port in.

I often port in Tesco Mobile numbers into 3pay to get
the 10quid bonus from 3
