I created a presentation with PP2007. I went back and redid the narration and
used new timings for both the slides and the animations in the slides (text
flyin on click). When I view the presentation in PP2007 it plays perfectly.
But when I view it in PP viewer 2003 (I want to publish to cd for
distribution), the narration is the newer recorded, the slide timing is
correct, but the animation timing is the old timing. PP viewer 2003 keeps
picking up the old animation timing. What's happening and how can I correct
this without starting over?

Uninstall PPViewer2003 and then install the latest version along with the
applicable SP1 and SP2. Links provided below.

Thanks. I followed your advice, downloaded the SP's and PPViewer2007. I
published the presentation to cd and sent it to a folder for testing. When I
opened the folder and clicked on autorun, the presentation opened in
PPViewer2007 and again played with the old timings. I then clicked on the
presentation icon. It opened in PP2007 and played correctly. I then went back
to my c-drive and performed the same tests using PPViewer2007 and PP2007 on
my master file. I'm getting the same results there. Somehow PPViewer is still
picking up old timings. Any suggestions?

Sorry, but have no other suggestions. Hopefully, one of the PowerPoint experts
will jump in with a solution for you.

Hi,

Have you tried Windows update to see if there are any patches picked up for
the Viewer? Have you tried using the installed viewer located here?
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12? That is, if your presentation
work using that program, can you copy that version of pptview.exe to your
folder where you exported the presentation, over-writing what is in that
folder? Does that help?

By the way- do not delete the program or over-write the one here! C:\Program
Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
