I'm running Retrospect 6.1.138 under OS 10.4.11 (Tiger) on a PowerBook.
When I reboot, which is infrequent, I get a warning from Retrospect that I
haven't backed up since Friday, Aug 5, 1921. Deleting existing backup files
(I back-up to a file on an external disk) and doing a backup to a new
backup set didn't help.

Any other suggestions? I couldn't find anything on the Retrospect site.

That's coming from the Retrospect Client application, which is used for
network backups. If you are running the actual Retrospect application on
this machine, there's no need to have Retrospect Client installed. So
you can choose to uninstall completely it or just turn it off.
Alternatively, you can leave Retrospect Client installed and running,
and turn off the warning message itself in Retrospect Client settings.
