Just to add, when i run net user root /domain on the client machine, root is not a member of Domain Admins; however, running net group "Domain Admins" /domain on the same machine lists root as a member.

Any thoughts? i am using a Samba 3.5.2 PDC with LDAP backend; apart from running smbldap-populate, i have not made any changes to the account info.
