If your trust level of your husband is that low, I'd say it's time for a new
husband.

Samba doesn't do any "data capturing". The only thing you need to worry
about is "stored" passwords and data. If he sets this up so your entire
local hard disk is copied to the Samba server, then the server will have a
copy of everything on your hard drive. This is a smart thing to do
actually, having complete backups.

Again, if you trust your husband there is no issue with this backup method.
If you don't trust your husband, trade him in for husband 2.0 (or 3.0 or
whatever the case may be), *or* just don't allow him access to your PC. Period.

Again, the far far greater issue here is your level of trust in your
husband, not what any piece of technology or software would enable him to do
in the spying arena. Hope this advice helps.

Good luck Lucy Little.
