this is the solution for 80070424 error

Put this into de Run window %SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\REGSVR32.EXE
%SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG.DLL then click enter.

I hope that this help you to resolve the problem.....

hi can you help i have error code 80070424 come up on my windows update when
it wont allow me to auto update or manually do it i have windows vista on a
hp laptop. i tryed the solution u suggested but it come up u need to residter
a binary folder please can you help could you email me at pjdeeker(a)msn.com

The command can be shortened to

regsvr32 wuaueng.dll

Click OK or press Enter.
