Hi,

I have Windows XP. Ran free version of BitDefender yesterday an it
found 2 infections:

C:\System Volume Information
\_restore{106CF321-99A3-4E3A-9103-1BD027606A99}\RP854\A0143387.icd
Infected with: Gen:Trojan.Heur.3z0@@J8QMSj

C:\System Volume Information
\_restore{106CF321-99A3-4E3A-9103-1BD027606A99}\RP885\A0146392.icd
Infected with: Gen:Trojan.Heur.4z0@@pLYS6b

The free version does not delete infections.

1. Can I delete them manually.....?
2. What files do I need to delete.....?
3. Can someone guide me step by step how to do it ....... ?

Thanks.

Try going to Symantec.com and look up the virus. They will
have manual removal instructions. There is no rule of thumb
for these things; each one is specific.

Thank you Twayne,

Symantec did not help, bur BitDefender's discussion group suggested
deleting all restore checkpoints.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore

It worked.

Now I am clean.
