Have downloaded a number of files from rapidshare premium and avg
flags some of the rar files as
Infected with Trojan Horse.crypt.EQY, Trojan horse Generic17.AQPY and
Trojan horse Generic13.ANQM.
Anyone out there who had a similar experience?

| What does Rapidshare or ANY file hosting service have to do with it?
| Virus writers and other unscrupulous people infect files, e.g.
| programs, movies, videos, music, games, Star Trek screensavers (Slam!
| - - heh), etc. and upload them to file hosting services in hopes that
| people will download and execute them and get infected. Now, this
| doesn't mean that ALL files found on hosting services are infected,
| but probably a good percentage are.

| The interwebs, they be dangerous! ;-) Listen to your mom and wear
| your raincoat and rubbers. And most importantly, USE COMMON SENSE!

| P.S. You don't really think that because you have Rapidshare PREMIUM
| it's any different, do you?

Many so-called picture hosting sites have so-called JPEG and GIF files that are in
actuality reanmed executables. Often they are Bancos/Banker trojans.
