From: joeprt on 9 May 2007 06:57 When rying to install this update suggested by microsoft update, download goes through but installation fails with error 779 (WindowsUpdate_00000779 WindowsUpdate_dt000). trying to install again gives the same error. Cpuld someone help?

It has to do something with a file mapisvc.inf because trying to do a manuel update, says you have no access permission. Hi again, Please locate your Excel.exe in Program directory and check if the version is higher or lower than v11.0.8134.0. If it is lower, kindly go to http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=9567C583-556F-4379-80BA-3E0C8993C04C Download the update and install it manually. See if that will succeed with the installation.
