A a 2 1/2 minute data disk is contradictory and meaningless. Music maybe?
Data does not have a duration along with it.

I'd start by checking to see how high the fragmentation is, and if it's over
50% definitely do a defrag of the disk.

Give a better description of the problem and get a better answer.

Twayne, I think he means that a data disk that used to take 2 1/2 minutes to
burn now takes 11 minutes to burn. Something has slowed down the burn rate.

Hi Roy, if you look at Paul's last post I think he hit the nail right on
the head.
I saw this happen with a USB card reader. For some reason Windows
decided to revert to USB 1.1 drivers across the board on the USB bus.
Once I reinstalled the USB drivers all was well and fast.
