I've tried "Windows Vulnerability Scanner 1.48" of Proland Software.
Why does it signal some critical vulnerability (es.: 982381, 978262, ecc)
but windows update doesn't signal any update? is it wrong?

Thanks

Suggest you verify the updates in question are installed properly.
Since you've neglected to post the edition of Windows and the version of
IE that is installed ...

For KB982381: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982381

Check the file list of the edition of Windows and the version of
Internet Explorer that is installed.
Then check the registry key verification on this page for the version of
IE installed on the OS the system is running:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS10-035.mspx

It's under Update Information > Security Update Deployment

For KB978262:
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/bulletin/MS10-008.mspx

Registry Key Verification

All supported 32-bit editions of Windows XP:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Updates\Windows
XP\SP4\KB978262\Filelist
