Hi,

I just set up WSS V3 in ADAC mode. It works for the most part.
However I'm having some frustrating issues with users though.

First:
I have errors being generated when I create users in ADAC mode.

When I go to create the user in People and Groups, I get
"Catastrophic failure(Exception from HRESULT: 0x8000FFFF
(E_UNEXPECTED))
And the account is not created.

If I do an iisrestart on the server, I can usually create one or two
more users, before the error reappears.

Using the latest WSS V3 frontend with SQL 2000 backend.

Secondly:
When a user goes to change their password, they enter their existing
password, the new password, and are given the following error: "I have
errors being generated when I create users in ADAC mode.

When I go to create the user in People and Groups, I get

"The user does not exist or is not unique."

To rule out permissions issues, I have set up the IIS Application pool
with the domain administrator credentials.
