Looking for advice please. I am considering buying one of two Toshiba
netbooks (listed below). Does anyone know if there are any performance
related differences between the two? They both have the N280 Atom
proceesor. The only difference I can see is the hard rive size 160 v 250
and the first comes with Win 7 Starter, the second with XP. In either case
I will be upgrading to Win 7 Home Premium ($79 from Win 7 Starter, $39 from
XP via educational discount).

Thanks in advance... Bob

I forgot to mention, the first listed is $70 more than the second.

Thanks again... Bob

Bob;
I had the N210 for a short time, but returned it due to a defective
touchpad. Very flaky performance with that touchpad, but it should be
resolved with the newer model. This was a known issue in the Toshiba
forums and I believe some of these were recalled, but can't swear to
it. Otherwise, the newer version has a nicer "chicklet" style keyboard
and just looks better than the N210. Good luck!
