In the past week I have received many emails that I read and deleted or
filed. All of these emails suddenly reappeared in my Inbox as unread. This
has happened several times before but I can't figure out why. Obviously, it
would be a hassle to deal with them all again. What causes this? How do I
prevent it? I'm using Outlook 2007.

What type of email account do you use? Are you using POP3 and leaving it on
the server?
