I have an 11 year old DELL TRINITRON CRT MONITOR. Still works like a
charm. Would this old monitor easily hook up to todays PCs? Would I
need some kind of an adaptor of sorts?

Top-tier vid cards (available for the XPS) probably will not have VGA
for your oldie.
