Basically you are only getting security fixes, no new features like
Internet Explorer 8.

thanks god there are updates... more updated, and better stable
system.

in theory, there will always be security updates, since it's an
evolving system (internet, new files, etc etc).

if you mean that the system is totally stable now, you are right...
it's a bulletproof system, I can say, the best for work.

you can't say this for vista and 7...

Yes, I can. I have XP, Vista, and Win7 systems, and they are all
equally stable. Which is to say, totally stable. I haven't had an OS
crash in any of them for years.
