At this point I'm not asking for anything that fancy. My primary request
is a way to create a cell style that automatically inserts the automatic
numbering option.

And a secondary request is to include automatically some boiler-plate
within the cell when it is created.

This is not to deny the utility of a hook into a database of examples or
exercises, or whatever.
