Hello group,

Windows XP machine keeps restarting/rebooting itself. Occasionally it will
perform disk check and then proceed to user login screen. At this point any
attempt to login begets another restart. Usually the disk check runs ok but
occassionally it will mention something close to: " The size of the
\documents & settings\Dee\ntuser.dat.Log entry is not valid." Help. I
don't know how to proceed. Thanks.

Try getting into safe mode (F8 early and often). If it doesn't reboot
from there, it will tell you something about what's happening, and also
you can look around to see what you can find.

If it does restart from safe mode, try to find a "Live" operating system
CD, either linux or Windows. If it reboots from that, it's hardware.
