can anyone suggest a currently available digital camera that is NOT
SLR, but does come with an optical viewfinder?
it has been difficult to find this feature listed on camera makers;
websites.

Just one or two Canon, BUT if you step up
to Electronic Viewfinder quite a few more
are avaiable from Panasonic and Ricoh.

The Olympus EP 2 has an EVF that comes with it. But it is basically a
non-SLR DSLR.
