Whenever i download certain docx files from my e-mail server IE wants to
save them as a zip file. I've seen some fixes posted around the
internet and none of them have worked. things i've tried:

*setting "Open files based on content instead of extension" to
disabled
*updating .net framework
*ensuring group policy reflects the first thing

I do not have access to the server to edit the MIME types, and using a
different browser is not an option. I'm solving this problem for a
number of users, some of which are not at all tech-savvy, so using "save
as" or renaming the file after downloading also arent options.

Does anyone have other suggestions?
