I think there is now file attached.

First I recommend to make a copy of your corrupt file before letting any
oother tool 'attack' your file.

What exactly would you like to recover?
Only the text or the entire formatting?


Is it a word file or an openoffice doc file?


If it is an open office file:
change the file's suffix from .odt to .zip and try to unzip it.

If this doesn't work, wellm then you had to search for tools allowing
zip file recovery if this works, then you should have a nice bunch of
xmls files and you might be able to extract / recover data.
