I can't find any information about which input/output ports and protokols
have to be open to internet correctly works.

First computer is typical for home work - www, emails etc., second have to
cooperate with windows domain, have to have sharing folders and printers, and
remote desktop.

Depends on the firewall and which way you are going.

Turn on the Windows XP firewall, allow no exceptions for maximum safety and
use your computer. Nothing else needs to be adjusted. You will be able to
send/receive email, surf the Internet (web).

If you need to share folders on your Local Area Network (not the Internet) -
be sure you are behind a NAT raouter and setup the firewall so File and
Printer sharing is allowed for your local area network.

For Remote Desktop INTO the computer from the Internet - you'll need to
configure your router to forward port 3389 to your computer and open the
Remote Desktop exception through the firewall.

In other words - don't over-complicate things.
