when i create a folder it cannot be opened.
the site is at webaddress:6060/default.aspx
however when clicking on the folder the web address changes to just webaddress/ whatever I'm navigating to.

the site is on port 80 (default)
the router is set to redirect port 6060 to port 80 on the Virtual server ip.
i am assuming it has something to do with Alternate address mappings
in some ways i cant see why because the port is just to identify which server to go to by the router.
but I'm stumped as to why IE drops the port during navigation.

TIA

Solved it i stopped using default settings for web site and matched external port and internal port numbers with the site using the same port number as the router was redirecting to, all works well now.
