i have a book that has 3 columns

A B C
id name accounts

i have 500+ entries, all w/different ids and names but the accounts are the
same because i only have 4 accounts.

what i need to do is add 4 columns (1 for each acount) and show in each new
column only the ids of the employees who are assigned to those accounts BUT
one after the other.
i ca ndo an if statement and it will give me the results but the returned
values in columns D-G won't in order. i mena, will have spaces in between and
i need them w/o any blanks... any ideas??

First sort your data by Acct Number, then copy and paste the appropriate
results into the 4 columns that you are creating.
