Hello,

when performing a "imaqregister('path to adaptor')" will this registration be done for the current user only or for all users on the system? Will be this adaptor be enabled for other users - logging in later - too?

Thanks,

Searching the documentation for references to IMAQREGISTER, I found this
page in the Image Acquisition Toolbox documentation:

http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/toolbox/imaq/br18atn.html

According to page 1-11 of the Image Acquisition Toolbox Adaptor Kit User's
Guide, which is linked from the Adding Support for Additional Hardware
section in the documentation:

http://www.mathworks.com/access/helpdesk/help/toolbox/imaq/f0-115351.html

the registration information is stored in the MATLAB preferences directory.
Since that's not shared between users, I _believe_ the answer to your
questions is no. If you want to confirm that, it seems like a fairly
straightforward experiment to try -- register the adaptor when logged in as
yourself, perform a basic test to make sure the adaptor is working, log out,
then ask a colleague to log in, start MATLAB, and attempt to use the
adaptor.
