I need to wright a medium application, dbase-based, but no one in our
city speaks VO.
As an altenative to VO, what would you suggest to learn?
How is the "Express" serie of MS. This is delivered for free.

Mny thanks

Henry,

If you need DBF access, you can try Vulcan.net. It fully supports DBF
but can also take full advantage of a dotNet language. If you just have
VO questions, most folks on the NG are very friendly. We don't mind
questions.

Regards,
Willie

Henry,

Why does it need to be dBase-based? The Express products are very nice
including SQL Server Express.

Henry,

Very strange request. VO will work with DBF or SQL (with some effort)
but to hear someone "wanting" a new app in DBF in the year 2010 is
frankly a little bizarre.

The alternate? MS SQL Express and C#.

Thanks all for your answers

I needed data base, not dBase.
The express works with sql, is it worth learning the "Express" series?

Many thanks
