Hi all,

I need to send to an email address <-jim(a)domain.tld> (with a minus at
the beginning of the localpart). I've checked the BNF from RFC 822 and
this syntax seems to be correct but postfix (v2.3.3) qmgr refuse it :

Mar 22 10:56:41 ns201715 postfix/pickup[13076]: 3FB0F29F0CE: uid=48
from=<joe(a)ourdomain.tld>
Mar 22 10:56:41 ns201715 postfix/cleanup[18576]: 3FB0F29F0CE:
message-id=<20100322095641.3FB0F29F0CE(a)ns201715.ourdomain.tld>
Mar 22 10:56:41 ns201715 postfix/qmgr[1024]: 3FB0F29F0CE:
from=<joe(a)ourdomain.tld>, size=2319, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
Mar 22 10:56:41 ns201715 postfix/qmgr[1024]: 3FB0F29F0CE:
to=<-jim(a)domain.tld>, relay=none, delay=24, delays=24/0.01/0/0,
dsn=5.1.3, status=bounced (bad address syntax)
Mar 22 10:56:41 ns201715 postfix/bounce[16589]: 3FB0F29F0CE: sender
non-delivery notification: 4F4F529F29D
Mar 22 10:56:41 ns201715 postfix/qmgr[1024]: 3FB0F29F0CE: removed

Did I miss something in the RFC ?
Do I have to update my postfix version ?
Is it a known issue ?

Regards
Alain
