I apologize for this being so lengthy, but I wanted to provide as much detail as possible. My topology is as such: Business-dc1.parentdomain.com (windows 2000 server parent domain) Business-dc2.child.parentdomain.com (windows 2000 server child domain) Business-dc3.child.parentdomain.com (windows 2000 server child domain, off-site) Sites and Services: Business Site 1: Business-dc1.parentdomain.com Business-dc2.child.parentdomain.com Business Site 2: (offisite) Business-dc3.child.parentdomain.com I have verified my trusts between the parent and child domain via sites and trusts. On business-dc1.parentdomain.com, under business sites1, I click on the business-dc1.parentdomain.com server, and under ntds, I do replicate now (to business-dc2) and get the message "Could not locate domain controller for this domain). If I go down to business-dc2.child.parentdomain.com and click on the business-dc1.parentdomain.com's ntds and do replicate now I get: "Login failure, bad username or password". I tried resetting the password with netdom. No luck. DCdiag , netdiag /fix don't work. Netdiag /test:dns passes on all servers.
