I have a TV, GE(Thomson) model# 13GP210B-F14 chassis# TX825TD
with a problem in the 13.7v portion of the power supply.

The transistor in the regulator is TP15 which Sams PhotoFact lists no
substitute for, only the Mfr. Part No. of 198752. The part is in a
TO-92 pkg with markings "3214" and "T335".

Replacing 12v zener diode DP02 in the circuit allows the set to
power-on with a proper 13.7v at the output of the regulator; leaving
the set in "standby" mode for several minutes without hitting the power
button results in the voltage dropping at the output of the regulator
to a level below which the set will come on.

What I'm looking for is specs or a substitute for transistor TP15.

Thanks.

TCE recommends (and supplies) the 2SC3207 ( ecb) as P/N 185197 which
replaces P/N 198752 (ebc).
The basing is different so you need to swap the 2nd and 3rd leads on the
substitute transistor.
Other transistors that will work fine are ECG399, 2SC2229. 2SC2482........
