i have a sheet with a running balance. This running balance is for all
clients.
I need a formula that will recalculate the running balance when i sort a
client.
The running balance formula keeps track of the hidden rows giving me a false
balance for that client. Need that to be able to print statement history
with running balance per client.

I think you mean "filter" a client.

See help on the SUBTOTAL function.

=SUBTOTAL(9,A1:A200) will total only visible rows after filtering.

I do mean "filter" but I don not want to use the subtotal funtion.
i need a running balance formulla that will show me the running balance when
i filter a client. Want to be able to see all clients transaction with
running balance after each transaction. The normal running balance formula
is not usable when I filter a client. Do you know a formula that will
calculate running balance even when filtered?
Thanks, I am stock on this one.
