Hello,

In Outlook 2002/2003, when you select one or more categories in the
Contacts folder and select Action - New Message To Contact, you get a
"the messaging interface has returned an unknown error" error message
if the number of recipients is over 250.

We've migrated from another system which allowed unlimited personal
distribution lists and we migrated the members to categories, so this
is a big issue for us.

Anyone know an easy workaround PLEASE? Outlook 2007 and its unlimited
DLs isn't an option yet.

Thanks,

- Alan.

The best workaround is to use Tools | Mail Merge instead of New Message to
Contact. That will allow you to send an individual message to each recipient,
which offers the bonus of (a) protecting recipients' privacy and (b) making
it more likely that the message will get past their spam filter.
