From: Salad on 21 Jul 2010 11:45 I don't have A2010 yet. In Access we might have an app that presents a record and we want to generate at document from it. With mailmerge we can do so, Could a web app do something like present a record, hit a "doc" button, and print the "mail merged" doc? I'd assume a Word template would be stored on the Sharepoint server. And it would be called. But how would one pass the data to be merged to it?

With a desktop app one can also create an email and with limited attachment capability. I suppose in a WebApp one can create/launch an email application but can one attach anything to it? If one can launch the email app, can one attach data from the app? IOW, can one export a table to an Excel file or text file the person can attach? |
