If you've got some m/l as a relocatable routine I could embed it
pretty easily I think (i.e. stick the m/l at the end of the BASIC
code, with a SYS call where the target address gets filled in during
'compilation'. If the m/l needs to run at a fixed location it would be
a bit messier.

no. you generate a static program, and this program you linked gets
the text from the net.
