I am trying to flash my Bios with an update. I keep getting this message:

Flash ROM is Write Protected. Make sure lockout jumpers are set
correctly or not.

In my motherboard manual there is only one set of jumpers JBAT that is
CMOS Clear jumper. I find no reference to a set of lockout jumpers. If
you have the same or another Mach Speed board could you tell me what
they are talking about?

There may be a setting in the BIOS to allow, or disallow BIOS
writing. I think my FIC AN19c mainboard has an option when booting to
press a key to enable BIOS writing instead of entering the BIOS setup
itself, or setting a jumper.
Enter the BIOS setup, and look for such a setting, or watch
the bootup screen for the option.

Check that there's not an option in the BIOS settings. Sometimes it can
be listed as a Virus Guard type option.
