architecture, grid-computing, VLSI, and related areas.

Call for papers (Deadline Extended): HPCS-10, USA, July 2010

The 2010 International Conference on High Performance Computing
Systems (HPCS-10) (website: http://www.PromoteResearch.org ) will be
held during 12-14 of July 2010 in Orlando, FL, USA. HPCS is an

Recognition (AIPR-10)
=95 International Conference on Automation, Robotics and Control
Systems (ARCS-10)
=95 International Conference on Bioinformatics, Computational Biology,
Genomics and Chemoinformatics (BCBGC-10)
=95 International Conference on Computer Communications and Networks
(CCN-10)
=95 International Conference on Enterprise Information Systems and
Web Technologies (EISWT-10)
=95 International Conference on High Performance Computing Systems

[ Note to moderator: they've been spamming out ads for this fake
conference all over the place. I rather annoyed them when I added
FAKE CONFERENCE to the title of the one they sent to comp.compilers.
-John]

If you're looking for a conference where they accept every paper if
you pay the registration fee, and there is plenty of time to take the
family to Disney World since nobody except maybe the authors goes to
the "sessions," this is the conference for you.

If you're looking for an actual conference with peer reviewed papers
and sessions worth going to, you'd best look elsewhere.

R's,
John

[The c.p. moderator notes the c.c. moderator's comment.
Yes, it is a little bit of a problem having 3rd parties run "conferences".
I would be remiss to not note that one highly respected professional
society starting with the letter 'I' holds conferences during winter in
a very low latitude state beginning with the letter 'H' which have been
characterized as boondoggles (well 1-2 people might be in your audience
at a talk). Sure they have some peer review but have been doing it for
decades. As this is a discussion on news group maintenance: I've
removed news.announce.conferences. The post was in c.p.'s threshold, and
I am certain aware of prior discussion, but no major objection was
raised here, likely due to low traffic. I will certainly take other
complaints into account (post or email for anonymity), but I also remind
you that can also edit headers and followup content to reduce blowback.
We can also suggest to the poster to make a single cross post so that a
killfile or other comand means will better work.
