I'm no expert and have just upgraded to CS4.
Struggling a bit with CSS so decided to do the tutorial, to calm my
nerves thinking it would be soooo easy.
Right at the beginning it tells you to go to Page Properties and chose
a text colour.
I do so, and it won't save it. Come back to that page and the square
is grey. First time, all my p text went orange (like H1). Now I've
persuaded it to be blue by doing Edit Rule for p in the Properties
panel. Go back to Page Properties and try to change it - has no
effect.
So, I can get the p text the colour I want but I am losing confidence
in Dreamweaver if something so simple and basic in the software
doesn't work.
The original problems I had when trying to use it without doing the
tutorial were similar - it didn't seem to work as it should.
What's going on? Is DW CS4 buggy or have I somehow got my machine set
up wrong, or am I losing my marbles?
Help please!

I am no Pro either but it just take patience and trial and error. I
have had Web Standard for a year and just purchased Adobe master
Collection this week. Adobe has a very steep learning curve and if you
would like help or like to work along with me let me know.

Thank you very much for your reply. I have been plodding on and things
are getting better. I don't know what happened with the original
problem I reported but all is well in that respect now. I may well
take you up on your kind offer next time I hit the buffers. Cheers,
Mary
