Outlook 2003 on Win 7 up to date


In my Outlook Contacts I have a Personal Address Book with about 100 entries.

I can see these contacts in "Contacts"

But when I go to Mail > New email > To: (a window opens with Personal Address Book in dropdown)

There are no items in the list to pick from or even to search.

Any thoughts?

Finally got it!


I had added a Personal Address Book and an Outlook Address Book

When I selected Personal Address Book the option to:
"Show this folder as an e-mail address book" was grayed out (not available)

Then I removed Personal Address Book thus keeping Outlook Address Book only.

Then I right-clicked my Contacts folder and now was able to check:
"Show this folder as an e-mail address book"

Re started Outlook and all was well

Duh. PAB's were eliminated about 10 years ago.
