Sometimes Quicken Help isn't right; but I suspect that Intuit
isn't trying to broadcast this.

You can run a Banking Transaction report for the investment
account. You can select the transactions in the report that you
want to delete, using the same techniques you'd use to select
multiple files in Windows Explorer. Then you can click the Edit
button (in the report), and select "Delete transactions".

One thing you can try is to rename your Quicken price history
file. If the price history gets corrupted, Validate virtually
never fixes it. Using Windows Explorer, rename QDATA.QPH (where
QDATA is the name of your Quicken data). Then start Quicken and
try deleting the account. If that doesn't help, you can just
rename the QPH file back (after deleting the new one Quicken
created).

Hi Craig,

Curious, I ask. Have you turned off any Anti-Virus Protection or Spyware
protection, while you are working in Quicken deleting entries? It may help
speed up the time it takes to delete. Leave the Firewall alone.

Also are you using your Hard Drive in Raid Configuration or normal? Do
you have any Backup programs running at the same time? Can you suspend them,
if you do?
