DC-DC converter for analog application
Hello to all..!!! I'm looking for a single output , 5V @ 1A, DC-DC step down converter for an analog application. Does anyone know where can I find one module like this ? Thanks, Hideo. ... 18 Jan 2007 09:55
datasheets for Semefab 051-8728 and KSP 10-124
Does anyone know where to get datasheets for: Semefab 05-8728 and KSP 10-124? Semefab 05-8728 is an 18 pin DIP IC that is connected to the 10 DIP switch package in a garage door opener. KSP 10-124 is a TO-92 package (looks like a 3 pin PNP or NPN) in this same garage door opener. Thanks -Ira ... 11 Jan 2007 08:20
12 and 16-bit oscilloscopes
Hi: Picotech seems to be the only supplier of these in low cost <$1500 flavors. But they are discontinuing their 16-bit version which had 96dB dynamic range: http://www.picotech.com/applications/resolution.html And there USB based 12-bit versions have 72dB rather than the 80dB of the parallel port versi... 20 Dec 2006 15:05
Are low/lower cost USB Oscilloscope's any good?
Hi, I am just trying to mess around with electronics stuff, and I don't know too much, but I've put a circuit or two together with help from this forum and others. I've got a fluke DMM and clampmeter, but I'd really like to be able to scope some stuff sometimes. I just don't know if I could part with the m... 18 Dec 2006 17:34
74C925 alternative?
Does anyone know of an alternative for the 74C925 chip for driving 4x7 segment LED's. The chip seems to be obsolete. Thanks ... 9 Dec 2006 11:13
Free PC Oscilloscope Software Preferences ?
I am looking for a free oscilloscope program for the PC to run under Windows XP. Does anyone have any preferences ? It needs to be quasi-real....not just a toy, but it can be very simple. I have no need for spectrum analysis and single trace would suffice, but I do need a calibrated timebase, for example. So f... 1 Dec 2006 11:05
Digital processing of analog TV broadcast
Hello, I'm current designing a device which will digitally convert an analog (NTSC) signal to RGB (for use in VGA). I have some questions at the bottom of this post. The system design consists of: - 50 MHz FPGA - 50 MSPS 10-bit ADC with video clamping - Matching DAC - Baseband NTSC composite video source - ... 14 Dec 2006 08:07
BDM download cables - compatibility issues.
I have a piece of MC68360 based equipment which requires boot block reloading via the BDM port. The procedure calls for running some software (which I have) on a PC, downloading via the parallel port using a P&E Micro "cable16/32" (which I do not have). Are all BDM downloaders pin for pin functionally compatible ... 7 Nov 2006 11:43
CRT Deflection circuit - sync pulses
Hello, I'd like to understand the "guts" of the deflection circuit inside a fixed-frequency display. I know the most monitors today are either tri/quad sync, or truly multi-synchronous, but for learning purposes, I'd rather start with a fixed-frequency display. I'm just learning the basics of VGA timing (doing a... 8 Nov 2006 01:20
Digital automotive tach circuit?
Anyone have a simple digital tachometer schematic handy? I want to put a 4 digit LED tach into my van. Resolution of 50rpm is fine. Fed by the TACH output of a six cylinder GMC on distributor coil. If it isn't much more difficult, I'd like to be able to drive a bar graph of 12 to 16 LEDs as well. ... 30 Oct 2006 08:25
