I used to work as a programmer and the term 'updation' was regularly
used by Indian developers I worked with. I'm guessing the website was
developed by an Indian developer.

Indian English uses `prepone' as the complement to `postpone', so I'm
told by the BBC.

<shrug>

I'd rather English got mucked about with by the Indians than the bloody
Yanks - at least Indians have some education to bring to bear on the
subject...
