I recall a Ford ad for a GT40 in a UK magazine in 1966-ish. �6000 it was
on sale for, iirc. I tried to persuade my father to buy one, but since
at that time that was the cost of a decent house, he unaccountably
showed no sign of rushing down to the showroom.
