1. My email notification box appears but the emails are no where to be found.

2. Emails show up when I log in for the day but disappear before I can click
to open them. I can't find them anywhere.

Are you using Outlook 2002?
What type of email account do you use? If Exchange, do you have a profile
configured to use a pst file?
Are you using a view that hides read messages?
Are you using filters to move mail to another folder?
