Hi all,

I have an Exchange mailbox which is only ever accessed via OWA.
Whenever we receive an email in Japanese, on "first reading" it
appears correctly with all the correct characters etc.

Once it has been previewed/clicked once, and then clicked away from,
when we reclick onto that email, the characters are now all garbled.
If we forward the email onto a non-Exchange account, still garbled. If
we view using another web browser, still garbled. It looks like simply
viewing it on OWA causes something to happen to the email itself.

Can anyone suggest where to start troubleshooting? Am at a complete
loss.

Thanks,
Raj

Sorry, one more thing. The mail "subject" remains intact, it's only
the message body which seems to be getting affected.

I would open a ticket with Microsoft.

Right click on the mail message, select 'properties' or 'options',
look at the Internet Headers.

What has changed?

Download the "Exchange OWA Admin Tool" and look at the encoding options

Hi there,

We are a VERY small business (myself and one other person) so try and
keep all costs to a bare minimum. I can do this as an absolute last
resort, but was hoping there may be some things to check first?

Of course, if you mean that "this issue looks really weird, trust me,
contact MS", then I will definitely do that =)

Thanks!
Raj
