From: Stefan Blom on 12 Apr 2010 15:26 An add-in is a "helper" application that adds functionality to programs such as Word, and if the add-in is poorly written, as Suzanne wrote, strange things may occur. If you are using Word 2007, look in Office button | Word Options, Add-Ins category. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Jim S" <jim(a)jimXscott.co.uk> wrote in message news:Xns9D58C5EEAA2D9jimjimXscottcouk(a)69.16.176.253... > "Suzanne S. From: Stefan Blom on 12 Apr 2010 15:29 Since this is Word 2007, the problem *must* be an add-in, at least if the Normal style is affected, because you cannot set the "Automatically update" option for that style in the user interface. -- Stefan Blom Microsoft Word MVP "Suzanne S. The document was composed on a friend's Word 2003. He found this effect happening and it continued when I tried to edit the document on my pc. Could this be so and in which case if I unticked the update-style option on his version might that solve it? -- Jim S Tyneside UK www.jimscott.co.uk |
