Can somebody remind me what exactly is the problem with the G5 producing
a lot of heat per GHz? I could do with a few hex-core G5s here right
now.

Simpler to chop some wood up in the cornwe and set fire to it.

I call it "the office" but most casual observers would call it "a
garage". I have an electric radiator, but it takes a while for it to
make a dent in the icy chill of a morning, and I'm not prepared to leave
it on overnight.

I've just set light to my clothes, and that seems to be making at least
a temporary improvement.

I'd have thought that your threads gave off as much radiant heat as
anyone could manage.

Nah, we're not far enough into the thread for an argument to start yet.

Anyhow, he's definitely in need of a PMG5. Mine was a very good heater,
and quite reliable, too - never had to trouble the AppleCare once.
